Mike has been in the business for many years with over 35 years’ experience in the oil & gas and renewables sectors. Having previously worked at UDI, Rockwater, Stolt Offshore and Subocean Group, Mike joined Fugro’s Subsea construction and Installation team as a Project Manager in 2012, before becoming Business Line Manager in 2013.
During his time at Fugro Mike has lead the team in successful completing many projects including most recently the Rampion Offshore windfarm array cable installation, Hywind export cable trenching, Maria pipeline trenching, Shell Gannet pipeline trenching, Humber Gateway cable installation and trenching of 77 array cables, Talisman Arkwright umbilical trenching, BP ETAP project 32km umbilical replacement, Engie Cygnus 74km umbilical trenching and Shell Corrib project.
On joining the Global Marine Group, Mike assumes the role of Managing Director bringing his great experience and capabilities to head the team.
As Director of Power Cables at CWind, Andy is responsible for business and project growth at the company. Andy joined the Group in 2000, gaining a wealth of experience managing both telecom and power cable related installation and maintenance projects within Global Marine, before moving across to CWind, the Group’s power focused part of the business, last year.
Prior to joining the Global Marine Group, Andy worked as a Project Manager with a Subsea Pipeline Installation company where he managed a wide variety of installation projects worth in the region of £600million. Andy holds a B.Eng. (Hons) Marine Systems Technology from the University of Plymouth.
Before joining Global Offshore earlier in 2018, Rob was part the Tendering department at Subsea 7 i-Tech working on a variety of life of field and drill-rig support tenders. Rob also has extensive subsea burial experience working within Helix Canyon Offshore, both tendering and managing a number of subsea trenching projects in the oil and gas, renewables and electrification markets.
Glenn has extensive onshore and offshore experience within oil & gas, telecommunications and renewables industries, having providing operations and project management support to a broad range of international offshore construction projects.
Glenn is well-practiced in working across many areas of the supply chain; as a developer consenting, planning, managing and monitoring critical activities and interfaces and as a contractor and subcontractor designing, constructing, managing and operating installation vessels, burial equipment, offshore teams, deck spreads and specialised pull in equipment for numerous shore landings, WTG and offshore substation platforms installations, ranging from piled, gravity base, jacket and floating substructures.
Mike began his working life as an industrial electrician, obtaining HNCs in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering before starting his offshore career in 1990. Working with UDI as a Marine Trenching Technician, Mike was involved in the installation and burial of power cables, umbilicals and flowlines.
Since then he has been involved in subsea construction projects, working offshore in primarily trenching works, before moving onshore into a Project Management role in 2003. Since the move onshore he has been involved in a number of high profile oil & gas and renewable projects, including Humber Gateway and Rampion Offshore Wind Farms. Having also spent time in Australia as Regional Operations Manager for TSMarine he brings a wealth of operational experience to Global Offshore and our customers.
Gordon is responsible for the safe and successful execution of projects in the Global Offshore business unit. He has a strong background in the oil & gas sector and a proven track record in managing a wide range of subsea construction and trenching projects.
He holds APMP accreditation and with over 10 years’ experience working offshore in roles ranging from Survey Engineer to Offshore Vessel Manager, he has developed strong client-centric skills and retains an agile approach to project management.
With over seven years of professional experience in the subsea construction industry, Alister is a huge asset to our Project Engineering Team.
After spending two years in an operations department predominately conducting vessel mobilisations and delivering an equipment build, Alister has spent the subsequent five years project engineering the installation, lay and burial of power cables in offshore wind farms. Engineering works have included completing tendering proposals and presentations, developing installation methodologies onshore and executing projects offshore on board multiple vessels using various lay and trenching spreads.
Stuart is part of the Global Offshore Project Engineering Team. Whilst part of Fugro Subsea Services Ltd, Stuart was primarily involved in the installation and burial of subsea power cables for the offshore wind market, having worked on seven different sites in the North Sea and English Channel to date.
Stuart has extensive knowledge of the installation methods used and the various challenges that are to be overcome within the industry. He has an MSc in Structural and Foundation Engineering, having previously obtained a BEng (hons) in Civil Engineering and is currently working towards chartership with the Institution of Civil Engineers.
